A Shop on Florida Street

buenos-aires-capital-federal-tango-florida-calleYesterday, I was strolling up Florida Street (Calle Florida), checking out the tango dancers and the artesian wares laid out on rugs, occasionally stepping into one of the clothing stores to see if I could find a bargain, when I stumbled into a men’s store named Boüzak and found a multifarious line of clothing—suits, sport coats, ties, shirts, dress pants, sweaters, jeans, khakis, t-shirts, belts, and shoes. The stitching on the garments rendered tailor-made, and all of the apparel was stylistically current, but the numbers on the price tags never reached above reasonable. I purchased a dark blue pinstripe suit, whereupon they buzzed in a tailor carrying in one hand a tape measure and in the other a piece of white chalk to mark and fit the suit to my body frame, whose services, by the way, came at no extra charge. The suit will be ready tomorrow, which is great, because I have a wedding to go to this weekend. I also picked up a couple of ties, a curved collar dress shirt, a black leather belt, black wingtips, and just for the heck of it, a white cotton cardigan to look elegantly sporty in while I lie around the house watching TV.

I recommend Boüzak for any man looking for some cool-looking clothing that does not empty his wallet. I also recommend Boüzak for any woman who is looking for something to buy for her hard-to-buy-for man.

I also recommend that all Buenos Aires visitors take a leisurely stroll up Florida Street (Calle Florida). It is a unique experience.
