Lessons from Remodeling in Uruguay
Do You Need a Parenting Architect?
<><><><><>
Lessons from Remodeling in Uruguay
For the last month, we’ve been
having some work done on our
farmhouse. New roof, new
windows, new floors—basically,
we’re sprucing it up in
the simplest ways possible and
making it more weatherproof and
efficient.
For the last two weeks, we’ve
had to move out as every room
in the house is affected and our
bathroom is not functioning!
So, we’ve decided to enjoy this
forced vacation, spending time
in various places. You can see
some short little videos of
our time in a beach cabin,
in Buenos Aires, and now in
Montevideo here:

Remodeling is always an exercise
in patience, flexibility and
trust, and even more so in
another language and a place
in which building techniques
are quite different than those
we’re used to.
Luckily, we have a great
architect, and she makes it
easy for us to relax. We
know she has simple and
low-cost solutions to the
problems that pop up, and
she has been fantastic about
guiding us through some
unexpected issues. We hope
to be settled in by the middle
of June.

Need A Parenting Architect?
In parenting, as in remodeling,
it’s important to have patience,
flexibility and trust. But
there are times when you
need guidance in order to
make important decisions.
The right guidance can save
you thousands of dollars.
It can give you peace of mind.
But most of all, it can ensure
that the end result is going
to be something you will be
very happy about for years
to come.
Right now, I’m hearing from
a lot of parents who are in
need of guidance.
Some are wondering if their
child’s school is the right
fit.
Some are watching their high
school students struggle with
pressure—both social and
academic—and wondering if
there is a better way to guide
them toward young adulthood.
Some are sending their kids
off to college in the fall
and worried whether or not
they will thrive there.
And lately, I’ve been
getting a lot of emails
from parents who have spent
thousands of dollars on their
student’s freshman year of
college only to find out that
their son or daughter is
getting poor grades, doing
too much partying, and/or
completely unclear about
who they are and what they
want to study.
Patience, flexibility and
trust work to a point—but
at some of these junctures,
it’s VITALLY IMPORTANT for
parents to step in and steer
things in the right direction.
And sometimes, the smartest
thing you can do is get
valuable guidance from
someone who can help you
make the best parenting
decisions.
Are you at one of these
junctures?
If so, I invite you to
consider how I might be
able to help you.
Whether your child is 10
years old or 20, I can offer
both smart and heart-centered
ways to ensure that your
son or daughter gets exactly
what he or she needs to thrive.
If you’d like to hear some
stories from parents who were
struggling but are now
thrilled by how their kids
have turned around, please

There’s also a fun little
video with my youngest daughter
and me talking about confidence.

I’d love to be your parenting
architect. If you have questions
about how I might be able to
help you and your family,
please feel free to write
to me at
Maya@MayaFrost.com
Oh—and if you decide you’d
like to partner with me,
it won’t cost you an arm and
a leg.
You see, I’m all about
frugality and efficiency. ![]()
And because I live in Uruguay,
my living costs are quite low,
and I pass these savings
on to my clients.
For less than a hundred dollars,
you can get the advice you
need to make the smartest
decisions for your child
and in many cases, save
THOUSANDS of dollars in
the process.
What a deal, huh?
