Since my book, The New Global Student,
was published last May, I’ve been working
with parents with high-school aged students
to help them find the most exhilarating
education options. But a funny thing
happened—-many of the parents who contacted
me have kids under the age of 12 and I
started helping them as well. It turns
out that many of the Smart Education
Design™ principles work beautifully
when applied to a range of parenting
challenges!
I wanted to let parents of kids of all
ages know that I offer a combination of
mindfulness training and Smart Education
Design™ consulting that is proving to be
a very powerful way to ensure that kids
become strong, happy and excited about
learning. I put it together in a very
simple format that can be applied in all
kinds of situations—-from dealing with
behavior issues to facing choices about
education.
The key: recognizing that in order to
become bold parents, we need to slow down,
soften our hearts and focus on what is best
for our kids. It goes beyond the no-fego
approach I described in The New Global
Student and helps parents develop greater
awareness when their kids are younger so
they can glide right through the teenage
years with great communication and plenty
of laughter. Really!
